SEPTEMBER IS SAFEGUARDING MONTH
September is Safeguarding Month in the Diocese of Broken Bay, and is an opportunity to highlight the importance of safeguarding and encourage everyone to consider their shared responsibility in keeping children and young people safe.
This year the focus of the month is ‘Families’ and we hope to encourage everyone to reflect on how family connections promote safety. There will be lots of activities taking place to engage with Safeguarding at school and also across our Diocese, make sure you pop back each week to see what activities are happening!
Please take the time to read, engage and focus on the safeguarding content released through the month. You all play an important role in contributing to a safeguarding culture.

Liturgy of Lament
Each year Diocese of Broken Bay host an important Liturgy of Lament during Safeguarding Month. This year it takes place tonight and will be live streamed. It is an opportunity to gather and pray to God in acknowledging the suffering caused to our most vulnerable and to give public expression to our sorrow. To join via live stream CLICK HERE.
Family Drawing Competition
As part of Safeguarding Month students at our primary schools are participating in a weekly competition drawing their families and each week the winner wins their entire class Zooper Doopers! To enter simply tag the drawing in our competition at: #2022safeguardingfamilies
